Why are there so many holidays that force me to spend money?
Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Hanukkah. Every time I save a bit of money, I’m forced to go spend it on dinner or gifts 💀 and don’t get me started on birthdays. Why should I give you a gift for not dying?

Valentine’s Day = not a Holiday in any country. Originated as a "Feast day" honoring early 1-2 Christian martyrs
Mother’s Day = another made up holiday
Father’s Day=yet another made up holiday
Hanukkah = is a Jewish festival commemorating the recovery of Jerusalem and subsequent rededication of the Second Temple at the beginning of the Maccabean revolt against the Seleucid Empire in the 2nd century BCE, also known as the Festival of Lights = bring/eat fried foods (celebrate the "season", not the commercialism of it).
I think my brother had the best birthday policy. A nice card with a $20 bill in it...... until you turn 18, and then just a card until you are 21..... then a phone call if he knows your number.
