If you want to dye it then do a color that you like & is flattering to you. I don’t wear white but if you do it’s nice. Looks like a summer dress.

@cherokeepatti Yea definitely a summer dress but I plan to style in such a way you can wear it in the cooler months with boots... I'm a little rebel like that

@Mellowgirl I like the way those type of dresses look with a lightweight denim jacket, but usually the dresses are print fabrics.

@cherokeepatti this is just the mock up toile but I've worked so hard on it seems a waste to just have hanging around. So if I dye it I can wear it and make proper use of it.

@Mellowgirl what colors were you thinking of dying it?
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti
this is a section of the fabric I'll be making the proper dress.. But I'm thinking maybe just black.

@Mellowgirl You used muslin fabric to make that dress didn’t you?
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti I used calico... Which is slightly heavier. 😊
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Mellowgirl I thought calico was a print 😂 but anyway it looks good.

@cherokeepatti bless you... This is the go to for toiles or muslin like you said mostly when you want a outfit to have flow because it's lighter.

@Mellowgirl I have a couple calico shirts for summer, the fabric is so light and cool to wear but the weave is much smoother and denser than muslin fabric.

@cherokeepatti Yea it's not the kind of thing you wash at 60 degrees lol
