An impulse DIY for a more comfortable halter neck 👙
Guide:
1. Find a really soft fabric you like against your skin and can cut out in six equal lengths. (Mine is a cotton fabric from a headband.)
2. Use the one neck strap and measure out your fabric. Make it 10-15 cm shorter and 2-3 times wider than your strap length.
3. Now you can use the finished length and width on the fabric to cut out 6 equal pieces.
4. Layer 3 pieces of fabric for each strap length.
You should now have two fabric lengths in front of you with three pieces of fabric on each.
5. Put your bikini strap on top of the pieces and fold the fabric over the strap. Pin it to the sides.
6. Hand or machine sew the length sides (I hand sew) with stitch of your choice. If you hand sew pick a short and sharp needle and a thread that camouflages in to the fabric.
7.The lengths fabrics should now be secured on the sides while able to move along the strap to adjust their positions. If you want you can scrunch it up like I did or you keep it straight.
You could also just never buy halterneck bikinis if you have heavy boobs😂 Next year I'll get a shoulder strap one. But this DIY will save me this summer! 😎🌞👙
