What's an unexpected hobby you picked up as an adult that's now a major source of happiness for you?

@katydidnt How often do you go and how long is your average trip?

@Ravens80 Yes, past. We stopped when Covid arrived.

@Musicman From one to two weeks usually. Some just long weekends, plus one westward cross-country, PA to the Pacific. I've done week-long solos as well, during school years while hubby taught. Not frequently...over the years, 2 or 3 good ones per year.

@katydidnt Outstanding! How long did the PA to the Pacific trip take? Did you ride back too?

@Musicman Took us 7 weeks. Just a one-way trip. Caught an eastbound train in WA and bragged to passengers all the way home :)

@katydidnt I can imagine. I would too. I am like you, I love traveling. The past two years we have pretty much stayed close to home due to my wife's health. I enjoy watching RV videos on YouTube since we haven't been traveling. Do you ever watch bicycle/camping videos? I hope you can start riding/camping again.

I have a couple of friends who really enjoy bicycle riding. One did a ride last summer from Venice California to Venice Florida in 30 days.

@Musicman Wow, a summer crossing in the lower latitudes...a tip of the hat to their determination! Our April/May ride into the wind through the northern border states is no match for endurance.

No, I've not recently tracked down others' videos. We just took slides but don't get them out anymore. The mental images outshine them.

@katydidnt My best on my bicycle is 5 miles. Lol!!! I'm a wimp compared to you guys. There are so many trips I would love to take in our motorhome though. I would really love to spend a summer touring Canada. 🙂
