Can you identify this?

I found it with my metal detector. It almost looks like an old pulley from a mower or tractor deck, but I'm not really sure. The faces of it seem pretty close together for a belt system.

need to clean it up more and get some measurments / look for other marks . but id say it was a guide wheel that ran on a track like barn doors

@NightsWatch Oh, I think you're right! I never thought about that. I live on farmland, and there have been barns here in the past.

@NightsWatch Also, I'm guessing that it has a diameter of about three or four inches.
