I love the yellow that accents my yard.
Also, our friends, the ever dwindling bees, need them. Unpoisoned.

@Carla Ladybugs will lay their eggs in the roots of dandelions. I have dug up some that remained through the winter in the lawn and found hundreds of young ladybugs in the roots, put the dandelion back gently in the soil.

@cherokeepatti they are a wonderful plant. Good for humans, deer, quail and a host of bee species. I didnt know about the lady bugs.

@Carla I didn’t either. Also watched a sparrow walk up to a dandelion that had gone to seed, put its foot out to bend the stem over and then pick the seeds off and eat them. So they have a lot of good uses.

@cherokeepatti indeed.
And they add some color to your lawn.
I don't understand peoples hatred of them. I welcome them.

@Carla because they take over and when you mow the yard the next day stems shoot up and then yard gets overgrown again.
