I Have A Love-Hate Relationship With Dandelions…

I take dandelion supplement for digestion and it’s really helpful against viruses. But when they grow wild in the yard and I dig them up
It seems like a never ending battle. I have worn a blister on the palm of my hand. Thought I got all in the backyard and every day see a dozen or more. Several
Neighbors have large patches of them in their yards and they are going to seed. 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

@Oster1 Not those growing in soil that has had chemicals put on the lawn. We had a severe drought and heat wave here in 2011 & 2012 and I could smell the chemicals from the dried out soil in the yard then and it had been about 4 years since I had put any on the lawn.

@cherokeepatti That is true. We can agree though, that Dandelions are an age old medicinal plant. 😊🌷

@Oster1 oh yes I know they are a good medicine. I take dandelion supplements to help with digestion. Also took them when I was sick in August, they are anti-viral and turned me around. I want to grow some in clean soil and harvest them but won’t let them go to seed until I want to collect more seeds to plant the next year. I wouldn’t mind cooking & eating the greens. I have a dehydrator and could dehydrate them to use all winter long as a supplement.

@Oster1 That and I found a recipe for making beef jerky from ground beef, no MSG or nitrites in the recipe, you spread the seasoned meat on strips of parchment paper and dry it out in the dehydrator. Has to be kept in a covered container in the refrigerator till it’s eaten but it’s much healthier ( less expensive too) without those chemicals.

@cherokeepatti That sounds wonderful. I'm intrigued. Ground beef? Very interesting! 😊💐

@Oster1 yes ground beef, seems simple enough I haven’t done it yet. Thinking the boy will go to town on it. I have the parchment paper and everything else needed to make it. Need to do it by the weekend.
