I really want a telescope...
TexChik · F
@Soossie what would you do with it?
@TexChik

My home is on top of the hill and I have a balcony that faces the little fancy town and the lake laying next to it... on the other side of the lake are the mountains and I have a wonderful stary nights at night... so, I guess I could watch all of it closer..

@Soossie Aww. We have a computerized mirror telescope . It can figure out where it’s at in a few seconds and then “ track” desired objects for longer viewing times.

The moon is just crazy
That's wonderful.... I'm sure that you enjoy it a lot..... I might get one soon... but I'm not sure I'll be able to watch the moon as I'm not sure if I can get one like yours, and besides the beauty of the moon might scare me @TexChik

@Soossie oh the only frightening thing is how that man ( my hubby)knows all of that stuff ( the names of the moon’s craters🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️, what “ Star” we are looking at ( planet actually) )... And still be that sexy and fun!
@TexChik

@Soossie Looks lovely. Reminds me of some Spanish mountain villages I've been in, nestled among the protective mountains. Looking at the moon and stars makes me feel slightly sad.
Yes sweetness..... have a mild headache ..... otherwise all is fine... thank you for asking.... ❤️❤️🤗@TexChik

@Soossie Aww . I’m sorry . Allergies?
@alan20

Hi dear Alan!! I only been to Madrid, Barcelona, Vigo , Granada and Orce in Spain... the area you are mentioning must be in Galicia....

I can understand the sad emotions.... 🤗🤗
No.... didn't have a good quality sleep last night as if I did not have the REM state ..... @TexChik

@Soossie The Picos region ( Which includes Galicia and the Basque country ) is very beautiful if a bit primitive. About a year ago we stayed in a hotel in a valley in Andalucia, looking up to a village which had numerous outstanding restaurants : I currently can't remember its name. During dinner we were serenaded by a girl with a small portable harp. She was so good I asked her if she was professional; she played in the Granada orchestra. God but I hate this lockdown! Apart from holidays, travel is the great joy of my life :- ESCAPE!
Lovely.... I passed through Galicia, driving to Portugal.... it is one beautiful rea... I missed my traveling also..... :( @alan20

@Soossie Benahavis wae the name of the town. Moorish originally. Galicia and Aragon are musically very different from the other provinces. I'm sure Bilbao influenced The Lord of the Rings ( Bilbo!)
I think they even speak different languages..... never been to that area... but I surely will when I visit Spain next....

Thank you Alan....

@Soossie Once went on a tour of Bilbao and asked the guide about a local composer named Arriaga, which I pronounced Arr-ee-ah-ga (hard "g"). She thought about it and asked "Do you mean A-ree-jah ?" She brought me to a pub, famous for Basque music, but the timing was wrong; in the clock sense, not rhytmically !
