Shotshell reloading.

Does anyone actually know the pros and cons between a six point crimp and an 8 point? Where I live 8 is more common.

Not much difference other than an 8 point is usually skived and reloads an little easier. They also tend to fold a bit easier. 8 point is just a little more consistent than 6.
The only real difference is between crimped and rolled shells. Rolled shells have a slight advantage in certain harsh conditions but its negligible and is more difficult to get consistent over crimped.

@Powderflask You'll mostly only see 8 point on target loads and its because of consistancy. No other reason.
