Why do humans crave drugs?

It seems that people are hardwired to enjoy all sorts of drugs (alcohol, weed, video games, ...). I find that interesting since it looks like a flaw in our brain that we are trying to fix by escaping our thought, or our true personality. What do you think is the main reason we escape into the arms of brain altering mechanisms.

la la, what drew the artist there? Often they have much more astute talent in the way you describe drugs. I can promise you this alcohol holds a promise, against yours that puts everything into a banal mechanism. Is it right, is wrong? All I know is stigma is wrong. And how you show it I'd rather be blind and intoxicated searching

@SW-User You are absolutely right, I forgot to explicitly mention what I feel about. But I am also curious, where do you think I placed judgment? If I did, it was purely coincidental, since I have no negative feelings about drugs.
I am just observing the phenomenon and trying to understand something about human nature. Otherwise i did some drugs when I was in college and I still drink alcohol occasionally. If done responsibly I think those are some nice experiences. So this is my explicit opinion about drugs. Am I still placing some judgment?

@sumojumo Yes, you are. Which is fine. If they are not for you, say that. I'm guessing they aren't for many but I don't go on moral watch finding every little aspect of this world doesn't fit me since they ....

@SW-User I am really sorry, are we reading the same text? I explicitly said I have no negative feelings about drugs and explained that I am just observing the phenomenon. Where do you find any moralizing there?

@SW-User oh, yeah, i understand, that word can be understood as judgmental, but I do not see escaping as something bad. We all want to escape, when I go to vacation I escape the everyday life - but i do not judge people going on vacation :)
