Is there a way to turn a stained glass window into a door?

We removed a stained glass window from a property we were remodeling and we were told by the owners we could keep it.its absolutely gorgeous and I wish I could post a picture but it’s in storage.

Here’s something like the shape of it but I can’t find the pattern. It’s very old the property is in a very upscale neighborhood.

But it has a second window that’s like a dome.

I was wondering if we could build a door around it and set glass on the front and back? (Like a shadow box) - I know a glass inside a glass.

Just to protect it from daily use and from the elements and to kinda give it extra insulation for the cold winter months

Large stained glass pieces usually don't do well on doors due to vibration, unless it is a considerably heavy door. It's very possible, but I would suggest not placing it in a high traffic area.

@Gentlequill thanks

My moms got a very heavy solid wood front door. Was put in when they built the house in 58
Doesn’t even have a looking hole lol 😂

I was thinking of putting it in there.
I wanted to gift it to her. It would match perfectly with her Tiffani lamp she’s got in her living room

@KaysHealingPath that sounds perfect. I would look into reinforcement designs as well.
