How to stretch ear gauge?

I have 16 gauges. Want to stretch them my ordered the wrong set. 12 g is the smallest I have. Can I stretch them with a 14g or 12g?

It's a major turn off to me.. I don't appreciate that kind of fashion when I look around so I would say no to ear stretch
