I started working on my game idea again after a bit of a break, and solved one of the issues that I was having within it :D

It was a simple fix, really. You roll over your Combat Value to hit the enemy, and they roll over their own to save against the hit. Modifiers such as suppression, cover, and the strength of the weapon modify these rolls.

I'm just proud of me, that's all.

@UndeadPrivateer Well I had hoped to avoid just having a flat value to roll over, because before I had everyone rolling over 4+ which felt weird in practice. But now that it's - for lack of a better term - "layered", where a better roll means better troops, it works well enough and it fulfills everything I need it to. Still can't convince anyone to try it though, but I think that's more my selling ability than anything else XD

@SW-User Getting playtesters is a tricky thing for anyone, usually one needs some kind of incentive to get people to devote the necessary time.

@SW-User Brainstorm, there's always something that can be offered. If you don't have anyone you personally know and can ply with food/entertainment, you could always try doing a giveaway of some kind. Might yield you a few folks willing to spend time on some games and giving feedback if they've got a chance at getting some models.

@SW-User One box of models ain't bad, really. Especially if you can get something relevant to recent releases. (Like some Chaos Cultists with the new Necromunda Chaos Cult rules release.)
