Programmers, do you ever tweak the code on your assignments to fit a theme?

Sometimes our assignments are kind of stale, so I often do a theme to make it more enjoyable. This time I have to create a linked list with several functions that aren't normally used with it such as push_back and push_front. Its a list of employees but that was boring, so I decided to do a My Hero Academia theme with not only their real names and made up salaries but their quirks and hero names.
