Without giving examples, what genre(s) of music do you like, and why?

Personally, my mood is influenced quite a bit by music, so I tend to like cheerful and upbeat songs. As a result, I love Japanese songs, and fast-paced electronic music. How about you?

@Ethanftw people like Buddy Holly are timeless.. if it wasn't for that plane crash I'm sure he could have done some amazing things with some of the heroes of the 60s..
