So I'm thinking of doing some X-Files-ish short story writing exercises, what do you think?

I had been doing a series based on a Total War Warhammer campaign, but then my computer started having issues and ultimately died and those saves are lost. So that little project is unlikely to return, at least for some time. Maybe when I have a computer that can actually run Total War Warhammer again I'll pick it back up, but in the meantime I wanted to do another similar thing.

So among the few games that run on this laptop is OpenXCOM. Among the mods for this game is XCOM Files, a mod heavily inspired by, of course, X-Files and the idea of following XCOM from its early days of simply being a small government agency rather than starting as a large paramilitary organization. So, instead of having a series of stories using the results of Total War battles as writing prompts it would be following the developing XCOM agency.

As per usual this probably won't have a huge impact on whether I do it or not but I'm always interested to here some feedback on such things.

Go for it, man. Unlucky about your laptop though.

@5thApprentice Eh, it does the things I bought it for. Has no serious issues with 3D modeling software so I can make models for 3D printing on it. Just not exactly a gaming laptop, lol.
