I just finished painting my kitbashed Shadow Warriors. I call then Aelucin's Nightstalkers.

That puts me at 1100 points of High Elves painted out of 1500 (it turns out I have exactly 1500 points worth), so my friend and I are going to have a big game at the local GW next month. JUst got one squad of Sea Guard and 9 Ellyrian Reavers to paint now, and the cavalry has already been started.

@SW-User Very nice! Should be fun. Wish I were closer and could bring my 3000 points of Khorne. Have a grand ol' time.

@UndeadPrivateer That does sound fun! Also, I should issue a correction on the points: I have 1600, because I forgot about my Archmage.

@SW-User I can't recall my exact point count, but I've got something like 3,550. It's an odd number, since I don't ever field it all at once. Only about 1,200 of which is Mortals, rest is Daemons.

@UndeadPrivateer That's still a very large force.

@SW-User Might be over 4k now, now that I think of it. Added a Slaughterbrute, more Bloodletters and another Bloodthirster since I last totalled it. Real big force, made it with the intent of fighting multiple allied players at once, since I'm the one most grudge against.

@UndeadPrivateer Bloody hell, that size game would be crazy!

@SW-User Largest I've done is 3k. It gets pretty involved, lol. So many unit synergies.

@UndeadPrivateer My army doesn't really have that much in the way of synergy so it may not be that bad.

@SW-User You've got casters, right? Malign Sorcery added tons of options for buffs. Most Khorne stuff is kinda garbage without synergies though, lol.

@UndeadPrivateer True, but I'm not paying $150 for that sorcery box and paying the points for one. Yes, there are casters, but the only one that buffs units is the Loremaster, who gives a single MODEL reroll hits and wounds. Mystic Shield is useless now, too, since most of my units have save rerolls innately and the ones that don't have 5+ saves or so many wounds that they can absorb a bit of damage.

@SW-User You don't need the endless spells for Malign Sorcery to improve your options. Realm spell lists add [u]tons[/u] of utility to all casters.

@SW-User Malign Sorcery, pages 71-85. Also has a bunch of new artefacts specific to each of the realms alongside the spells.

@SW-User You can pick it up off eBay for ~$10 from what I've seen.
