What qualities should I look for before joining a gym?

Walk and in and check the place out. Maybe you like the atmosphere, maybe you don't.

Are the bathrooms nice? Free water? Cool. Do they have machines you KNOW and CAN use? Maybe you like the TV set up there... maybe they have a cool dance room.
