not quite. google saturn 5 VS spacex falcon heavy
Scarfface · 46-50, M
@xinbaba oh well I read wrong. I read it was twice as powerful as anything else
xinbaba · 61-69, M
@Scarfface I do plan on watching, to answer your original ?

@xinbaba I'm a bit disappointed it's not the most powerful, still be good to watch. Hope it is reusable 👍

@Scarfface It may not be the most powerful, but it doesn't need to be. The core and the two side boosters (which are basically just Falcon 9's) will all be reusable (and landing them is a mission objective). It's by far the most efficient way to get shit into space.
IIRC the launch cost to haul 8 Tons into LEO is less than 100 Million. Compare that to the over 1 Billion Dollar cost per launch for the Saturn V :P

@Scarfface That's SpaceX's goal. Reusable rockets. Eventually to establish a self-sustained base on Mars. Who knows? A lot to go wrong. They should get experience on the Moon first. At least there would be hope of rescue, if things went bad.

@zhafar I've been watching the test landings, very impressive 👍
