Should i ask my parents?

Ever since I was little I was interested in soccer the only sport I was good at I think since I suck at sports. I saw a video of messi and I got memories of how I love soccer when I was young. Should i ask my parents if I should join a team I'm entering highschool next year and would love to play soccer for my last 4 years before I head off to college and get into the real world. You only live one life so should I go for it? I got little experience and a bit old.
