The Hindu answer to the jealous God

The Vedas:- Thou art formless. Your only form is our knowledge of You.

Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 7, verse 21:- Whatever celestial form a devotee seeks to worship with faith, I steady the faith of such a devotee in that form.

Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 9, verse 23:- Those who in faith worship any other God, because of their love they worship me

Is it really any wonder that most of the religious wars, the Inquisitions and the sheer "only way" bigotry has arisen within the Abrahamic religions of the "jealous God"?

Not forgetting that famous Christian hymn with the line:- "The heathen in his blindness bows down to wood and stone."

They are supposed to be monotheistic religions as well but I don't see how you can only have one god but also an anti-god force. That makes at least two gods. Not even to mention Christianity adds Jesus and the Holy Spirit as two other gods. Then multiple angels and demons all the children of the creator God.

So I actually like the Hinduism view of all gods being incarnations or manifestations of Brahma. Heck there are even parallels between the Christian Trinity and the Hindu Trimurti. So most of the conflict is very much the "only true way" mentality.

Although I also believe many people are actually bad and they interpret any religion to fit their bad morals. My brothers are like that actually. They have hate in their hearts for certain demographics so they search through their bibles to find where God justifies their hate that way they can claim their hatred of others has divine authority.

Scriptures in that way I find make a very good "mark of the beast" Which is meant to show who is good and who is evil. Cause in my opinion bad people will pick the parts of scriptures that support their evil. But good people will pick the scriptures that support love. So it really does help to show who is good and who is evil. And it is sad to see so many of the Christian faith picking the evil parts.

It literally is the most broken religion with over 40,000 denominations and multiple translations of a book that loses something with every translation to the point that I think nothing of the original has survived.
@canusernamebemyusername Hi, yes, thanks. I don't think I have disguised my dislike of book based religions.

Simple observation shows that the vast majority of adherents of a certain book have been born into the culture where that particular book is proclaimed as being the "true" or final word. Yet part of the creed is always "decision......choice....." Think about it.

Again, irrespective of all the talk of love, pure fear is often the driving force.
