Get healthier?? Whats wrong??
@LunarOrbit Diabetes is a progressive disease..I was first diagnosed as type 2 10 years ago ..over this past summer I was told I am actually type 1.5 ...yes that's a thing ...there are many different types of diabetes that many do not know about ...mine is Latent onset type 1 . It's tough to diagnose because it mimics the symptoms of type 2 at first then eventually everything that worked in the beginning stops working ...it requires a certain type of panel of blood work done ..something to do with C peptides ...anyway long story made longer...it's treated like type 1 even though it's considered to between type 2 and type 1 ...it's also harder to control ...I'm not wanting pity ..just trying to educate on what is not widely known ...there's alot of misinformation or not enough information either ...it's very frustrating...I can't hike and go for long walks like I used to . I could walk and hike for hours...my blood sugars go too low if I go too long and it takes a while for them to go up and then I feel like crap .
.ugh...I'm still trying to figure i all out itsa never-ending process ...but I'm stubborn and not giving up
Sorry for the novel ..

Don’t apologize. I was prediabetes for a while and recently found out I was type 2. Im on ozempic and i think they want me to take metformin as well as ozempic worked for a while…then there was a shortage and i couldnt get any for four months…then i got on it again but its not working anymore.
Anyways…my A1C was as low as 6.1. Now its up to 6.4. I used to wear a continuos glucose monitor (Libre2) but insurance cut me off csuse im not on insulin. I loved watching my sugar bounce around.
Anyways…sorry for blabbin about me.
I remember you saying you were diabetic but i didnt realize how bad it affected you. I always thought diabetes was a fat person disease so i never would think you had it.
What meds are you on for it?
And thank you for sharing your informative explanation. 😌

@LunarOrbit Sorry to hear about things not working as well as before. That unfortunately is common . Are you trying other things to help ?
I take two types of insulin
Short acting for meals and long acting as my background insulin
I also take another injection that's not insulin it's trulicity that is for type 2 but my endo said it's supposed to help my blood sugars stablize ? Um ..ok ? Of course when I don't take it my blood sugars spike now ...so maybe ? ...

@pripyatamusementpark So when your blood sugars spike…how big is the spike and what are your good readings like?
(Mine will go from 5 to 14ish and then back down to 4ish and normalize around 6 or so. I donr know how bad or good that is cause i ndver compared it to anyone before.)

@LunarOrbit my b.s depending on what is going on can fluctuate all over the place ..everything effects them ...not sleeping .colds ...lady issues...stress..etc ..I can go a week with great b.s in the range from 75-150 ...then the next week ut could all go to shit ranging from lows 55-300 or so ...I realize you calculate yours differently

@pripyatamusementpark Yes…i think you gotta multiply or divide by 18 to convert the units.
Me - 5-14ish is like 90-250 to you
You- 55-300 is like 3-16.5 to me
Yours is a bit worse than mine but not by much.
I’ll find out in January if I need to use something stronger to control my swings

@LunarOrbit my a1c was 6.6 back in October ...I don't think it's going to be much better than that

@pripyatamusementpark Hopefully you can just keep it undercontrol and get healthier. Its like a vicious circle.
@LunarOrbit It is ..
It's very frustrating...my goal is to get myself as healthy as possible...that's all I can do ...
I hope yours gets better too
