Definitely not too long. I hike between an hour or two on most weekdays (at night) and longer on the weekends. The only thing you need to be aware of is food and water when you get in to longer distances. Eating some carbs before you go is a good idea too. That'll keep your legs a little stronger. Keep at it. Good for your head and body.
