I Want to Be Healthier

I did a 48 hr fast last week and felt amazing afterwards. I started a 36hr fast last night. Even though it sucks while I'm doing it, the benefits afterwards are so worth it. Wish me luck!!

I started intermittent fasting June 20, and I love it. I clean fast 18-20 hours a day and did a 24-hour fast two weeks ago. I feel good, am sleeping better, have more energy during the day, my skin looks healthier / brighter complexion, and I don’t have heartburn any more. Plus, I’ve lost five pounds so far. IF for the win! 😊

@ChampagneOnIce I wanted to try IF, but I think I like doing the longer fasts better. Only because my daily schedule is literally never the same and I had trouble trying to figure out what times I could eat. I know a lot of people love doing IF!

@AnarchoMetalchic My schedule is busy but fairly consistent M-F. Weekends are a bit crazy, but I figure it out. :) My husband is doing it too so that helps. I like the flexibility of the lifestyle. It works for me, and I feel great! I don’t know that I’ll do longer fasts but maybe. Drinking sparkling water with a sprinkle of pink Himalayan salt helps when I feel hungry. The 24-hour fast wasn’t that difficult. Is it really hard doing longer?

@ChampagneOnIce Ehh kind of. For me, the first 24hrs were hell and then day 2 was easier for me. I would just get 10-20 bouts of hunger pangs and then they'd go away. But I was basically starving for those first 24hrs. LOL

@AnarchoMetalchic Well, good luck! Hopefully, you’re fasting clean. It helps. Try the salt trick if you haven’t already. The electrolytes help. :)
