Self directed care

I’m so frustrated that the person I’m working with needs more help than I can give but the agency she is under has allowed self directed care which means she is charge of getting her self workers. She’s not good at it. I’m the sucker who is stuck with her because no one else wants to. This weekend in particular is a problem. I’ll be working without pay because she doesn’t have enough workers and time covered with pay. I’m struggling to keep some positive thoughts in mind. I feel terrible that I have to leave her alone when I have to go to my other job.

does she have a social worker you could talk to?

@Penny She has case workers. They know her situation for years. I have talked to them. We tries to find more workers and hired two but they both quit. She is difficult.

@Stuffy Maybe she would be better off in a nursing home?
