Ulcers are flaring up

Not an emergency, but I wanted to let you know what’s going on with Jeremy. Earlier today he threw up a significant amount of blood, and the doctors believe his ulcer has flared up pretty badly again. It was definitely scary to see, but thankfully the medical team responded very quickly and has been monitoring him closely ever since.

They’re planning to do a scope so they can get a better look at the ulcers and determine exactly where the bleeding is coming from. Most likely they will do an ablation procedure during the scope to help stop the bleeding and help the ulcers heal faster. Right now they seem optimistic that this will help get things under control.

Thankfully Sissy was in the restroom when everything happened and didn’t see the blood, which I’m honestly very grateful for because it was a pretty upsetting situation. Jeremy is exhausted and uncomfortable, but he’s being cared for and they are taking this very seriously.

I’ll continue to keep everyone updated as we know more. Thank you all again for the prayers, support, and kindness through all of this. It truly means a lot to us.

Hmm? Not a good thing. Perhaps time to end the evening whiskey when he gets home. Definitely doesn't help ulcers

@Gibbon It is something we will discuss when he gets home for sure. They say his ulcer flared up because his stomach has been empty for days. He barely at Sunday because he was not feeling well.

@Cigarguys I have experience with this through my deceased girlfriend. Vickie had bleeding issues that cleared on their own when she stopped consuming things that aggravated it.

@Gibbon I know the whiskey is part of the problem, along with him not eating enough. He’s actually been doing really well and has been eating every day for the past few months, and his ulcer really hadn’t been flaring up during that time. I think everything just finally caught up with him all at once.
