I hate hospital

Trying to read doctors mind , trying to figure out if a smile is a real smile or some psychological trick , all those stupid test all those dumb meeting and appointments and those so called « specialist» who don’t even understand what they are specialist of … I know they save lives and we have to be grateful
But sometimes it feels good to scream cry
And yell … guess it’s therapeutic too.

Doctors tend to be as closed as an oyster and not to reveal what is going on in their minds. Perhaps a good thing otherwise, it may scare off patients.

Doctors hate when a patient is informed and uses proper medical terms. It places them on high alert because they cannot stuff you with medical terms because those that are informed will dig deep and place doctors in an uncomfortable situation.

Doctors want stupid patients that say yes and amen to their gospel and that take the prescribed medication without asking questions.

@Arantxa Thanks for BC. Hope you get well soon if you have to see doctors and give them a piece of your mind 😢

@masterofyou Thanks 🤗
@Stephie I'm really struggling with my health and healthcare both. Maybe I can make use of your advice somehow.

@SinlessOnslaught it is always important to ask as many questions as possible when going to a doctor and not to take his/her word as the only right thing.

Ask for a written copy of the medical report and if you don't understand a term, ask the doctor to explain or better, write down what you don't understand and look it up on the internet. Write it down in front of the doctor so as not to make any spelling mistake and ask your physician to spell names for you.
@Stephie How do you stay medically informed without self diagnosing?

@SinlessOnslaught you can start by making a broad search on the internet about your ailment, your symptoms or how you feel. That is when AI comes in handy even though I am against AI.

Once you got a rough picture, you can start narrowing it down. Don't believe everything that is published on the internet. That is the biggest mistake you can make because a great number of those sites are sponsored by the pharma industry.

Search serious sites like the CDC, the Mayo Clinic or the NHS if you are in the UK. Those are serious places to search for unbiased information. It is important to filter out and those sites have a huge database.
@Stephie Ah I'm in the US but I'll check out those other sources you mentioned, thanks!
