If I was you I'd explain to your GP what's happened and ask if you can use hospital transport services.

@AntisocialTroll HTS is in Cambridge and they don't come out this far. I've tried before.
Until recently I'd have booked Passenger Transport from a local volunteer source.
But with hospitals charging silly money for parking and the rates of volunteers expenses not increasing in line with petrol costs it's unlikely anyone would make themselves available anyway.

@AntisocialTroll Nothing you can do if the hospital itself cancels the appointment.
Last time they cancelled it was because they were short-staffed

@Picklebobble2 But I'm assuming the volunteer service doesn't require a non refundable £60 deposit?
It'd at least save you from having to shell out so much if the hospital cancels on you, you could always bung the charity £10-£20 if you have to cancel because the hospital cancels your appointment, at least it'd be way cheaper for you.
I hate the thought they may cancel on you again!
