I Don't Like The Hospital

Rather unpleasent morning at the hospital today. Alsos of samples and swabs and bloods taken. Its al so degrading...and to make it worse there was a medical student present who was invited to view me in all my glory!!!
Got to sit and wait now for results to come back. Fingers crossed for me the news os all good. X

I had major surgery two months ago. I spent nine days in the hospital; I had never been an inpatient before. I received outstanding care. I was and am extremely lucky to have been in a state of the art academic medicine facility. Yes, the regular checking of "vitals," having blood drawn, being stuck, prodded, and poked was a bit disconcerting at first, but I very quickly came to appreciate the skill and dedication of the nursing staff, physical therapists, technicians, and dieticians, as well as the physicians who tracked my healing and recovery. Being in the hospital was difficult for me in that I am a very independent and self sufficient person, and it was a major change to be almost totally dependent during my stay. I am so very grateful for the care I received.
