Type one diabetic will only have to increase his insulin to counter the carbs so in reality no harm done. A type two diabetic has to control his diabetes with diet alone and thus has to restrict his carbs according to his dietary requirements.

@hippyjoe1955: thats right!!! type one is where the body doesnt make enough insulin.. type 2 is where there is insulin resistance.

@kronos: exactly there is also a type one and a half. My sister has it and it is very difficult to control.
