Are these good reasons to cheat on your doctor ordered diet?

1. "Come on, you can diet tomorrow!"

2. "We're all having a piece!" (This is based on the peculiar but common idea that calories don't count if everyone is eating the same thing together).

3."It's Jane's birthday! You have to have some cake!"

4. "No one diets in our house! We're Italian (or Greek or French or Russian or _____). When you come here, you have to eat!"

5. "Now I know you really want it, so I'm just going to put it right here on your plate! No, don't protest, don't argue, I'm not listening, I'm putting it right here!"

6. "Aunt Milly baked it from her special recipe. She'll be hurt if you don't try it!"

Any more you can add? I find food pushing one of the hardest aspects of dieting. It's hard to put out the effort to resist rich food when you are made to feel like you'll make your hostess mad, insult Jane and Aunt Milly, insult someone's ethnic traditions and remove yourself from the social circle.

keep that up and you'll be dropped by the insurance and have to pay out of pocket for that referral.

@sighmeupforthat: Sorry, I don't get it. I have health insurance but they won't charge me more for my weight.
