Can somebody explain to me what the argument for being pro-life is?

As a conservative I think being pro life is complete nonsense. I've seen so many women's lives get destroyed because of unplanned pregnancies.
Imo anti-abortion and anti-Planned Parenthood is what is holding the Republican Party back.

And for some reason they assume women that gets abortion as a birth control method. Birth control isn't hard to get so, I have no idea where they got that from and they love saying thins like "You should have kept your legs closed" which IMO is unhealthy because it's insinuating that sex is bad.

I know a number of women who do use abortion as birth control.

The birth control idea isn't about, "Oh, let's have sex because I can just get an abortion." The focus is that people have sex and for whatever reason they get pregnant and rather than accepting the pregnancy as a known risk of sex they get an abortion.

@Jackaloftheazuresand: Women use birth control mainly to regulate their periods but for whatever reason they are on it, it's no one's business. A lot of people since slice bread use sex for pleasure, duh , but that doesn't mean they consent to pregnancy. You can use a condom and it can break, you can use birth control and that can fail too. People can be responsible it's just not 100%. I'm not really in the mood to be arguing about this topic so I will just leave my comment here, regardless no abortion or none it's no one's business especially if they won't care about the fetus after it's born. That's pro-birth.

@lastbabyboomer: I don't know anyone personally like it. The female where I live get pregnant before they even see their 16th or 21st birthday and not married.

Just to finish off my statement, if someone doesn't want kids then they could get an operation, that would remove all chance. Store some sperm or ova if you want them in the future.

If that's too expensive or dangerous for them then they don't have to have sex. And before I see another "sex is bonding" argument, there are plenty of sexual things they can do together without having a pregnancy risk.

@Jackaloftheazuresand: Okay, but I want to say I don't hold other people's opinions against them like extremist pro-lifers. That's fine if that's what you believe but that's an extreme view of things. That's like saying don't eat if you don't want to be fat, but whatever and good night.

@Jackaloftheazuresand: Let me ask you this before I leave this thread alone. Would you get a vasectomy? If you couldn't afford it would you give up penetrative sex because you don't want kids? And those operations are permanent so the individual has to think hard about that.

@PetiteChica: Yes, I would get a vasectomy. And yes I would give up penetrative sex if I didn't want kids. I actually haven't had sex yet because I'm waiting for a time when I can afford the kids.
