Have you ever been the reason why someone you deeply care about ends up in therapy?

I had a major breakdown almost a year ago, I unfortunately did something I regretted instantly and unintentionally hurt my best friend mentally. I am deeply regretful for the whole situation but as much as I miss them I don't blame them for not wanting anything to do with me. :(

I hope everything sorts out fine.
