If you're over 80 with no kids or life insurance who buries you?
I ask because an elderly neighbor asked me, but I didn't have an answer for her.😓

I just thought it would make her laugh tho so maybe she won't die too soon. Oh well. Then I guess It's either a cremation and standard medical disposal or you can make "a special request" through the county of residence beforehand. Pretty sure it's against the law to be thrown in a hole without a coffin and someone to shovel dirt on you.
I would figure some people submit a request to go in the drawer room at the morgue for a while in case they come back to life, just to be safe. But I bet they get brought out at halloween for scarey office decoration if it's in fall.
I would request a grim reaper happy balloon visit at least once while my corpse is in the cooler. Around the holidays. And a night light in my fridge drawer. Oh yeah, a glow in the dark toe tag. Maybe one of those prox sensing ah haHAHA ha ha ha sound boxes. So if someone pulls back the sheet it makes them jump and then laugh if they have a sense of humor.
You can pre arrange a funeral ya know. They put coffins on layaway too. And a funeral plot is not too expensive. She could be doing that instead of asking you. I'm almost sure the rec center for seniors (every city has one) has some pointers too. Sorry I'm not somber about death. I have been pall bearer way too often in my day to let this drive me bleak.
