How can I convince my mom to let me talk to my doctor about birth control?

The cramps I get are awful and prevent me from doing easy things, like unloading the dishwasher but she won't agree with me on it.

I guess the reason she doesn't want you to is because birth control pills are packed with hormones and can stop you from producing your own, making you dependent on them.

It's your choice after all, but I also recommend ibuprofen, it had helped me with very bad stomach cramps before.

I have tried it before and it made no difference. Pain medicine doesn't help me.
