To those of you who've lost weight, what motivated you?

I could drop about 60 pounds. I don't hate my body but it'd be nice to be smaller. However I apparently don't hate myself enough to actively lose weight. I need a motivator and have none. Where did you get yours from?

Try to focus on being healthy rather than the numbers (weight, dress size, etc.).
When you feel better, you'll love and accept your body a whole lot more too.

Wanna know what's bad? I don't really care to be "healthy." I just want to be smaller. Once I lose the weight I will maintain it with mild exercise and not indulging as much but won't turn into a health guru.

Good tips. I turned watching the number on the scale go down into a game, that's what worked for me. We're all different! But being healthy and feeling better is important too and the number game doesn't work for everyone.
