Had tooth extraction 5 years ago and area in gums/jaw still hurts. Anyone have this problem?

Tired of trying to convince doctors and dentists that something is wrong. It hurts from the lower jaw to the ear above it.

Have they done a CT and MRI to rule out bone or soft tissue infection?

@greenmountaingal: In that case I would guess it may be nerve pain?I'm sorry you are having to deal with that and are not getting definitive answers.
