How much time does Ibuprofen take to work ?

Period cramps are killing me. Took Ibuprofen 600mg, 1h40 minutes ago, and my uterus is still being a little shit.
I'm dying here.
Should I take something else ? My parents aren't home and can't call them...

[c=#BF0080] Awe I'm sorry! Those are the worst! 😖 I've always gotten those bad. It should be kicked in by now, it generally takes about 30 minutes or so to kick in. You can safely take 800mg of ibuprofen at a time but you should eat with it cuz it can upset your stomach. Taking a caffeine pill or coffee with it can help pain medicine work better too. Peppermint tea also can help or just sucking on peppermint candies. Also either a heating pad or a hot water bottle on your stomach can really help! I hope you feel better super soon![/c]

I think it finally started working, cuz at least, I can get up from my bed and make myself some pappermint tea.
Now that you say it, my stomach was empty when I took the medecine. I won't do it next time.
