Why do I feel like crap when I'm on my period? I always feel like I can't even get out of bed, including school days, but my mom doesn't let me stay home. Also, what should I do about cramps during the day, when I'm not home?

I had to stay at home today, my period pain was so bad. If I have to go to school, I wear a thermal vest. I find keeping really warm helps the cramps.
