I didn't know I was meant to enter the code into the covid19 app I live in Wales my boyfriend said it doesn't matter because I've told everyone I know that I have covid I tried to enter the code but it expired

Try again. You have told only to those you know. But the app Bluetooth to warn whoever is near you, and even it would be helpful to many people as works online too.
