How can I lose weight without even trying?

The obvious way would be to develope some kind of habit or even addiction that causes weight loss as a side effect, right? Like if you can genuinely get yourself into geocaching or biking or whatever, you will lose weight without making a specific effort to do so. Alternatively, exploring new recipes or getting yourself acccustomed to new snacks that are more nutritious than your current favorites could concievably get you to lose weight with minimal effort, although that obviously requires a distinctive, goal-oriented effort anyway.
