Don't do what my parents do whenever they realize I'm fapping too much: Shame. Shaming your son will only do more damage and make him want to do more. Be blunt about what you saw him doing, and give him a talk on what masturbation is and what porn is. Tell him that it's okay to masturbate, but don't do it frequently. Excessive viewing of porn, masturbation, and orgasm ruined me and my academical success (well, I never watched porn, but the other two I did do). Tell him to do it in moderation and try not to fap too much and actually spend time talking to actual young women his age (and don't shame him for talking to girls either, that's what my parents do and it only makes me want to masturbate even more). Jerking off has some benefits (such as relieving yourself), but too much of it is like taking a drug, you get obsessed and it makes you addicted and unmotivated.
