Houston Hospital Fires 100 staff who refuse Vaccination..

Of course they Sue.
This comes under the free country column I suppose. NOT the freedom of Texans not to have a vaccination. Those fools are free to go get jobs anyplace else of course. Thats freedom. But the freedom of sick and immune compromised patients who are already paying through the nose for health care not to have to be exposed to Covid 19 and rampant stupidity in the same day. There is also the freesom from law suits for the hospital, which will surely happen if one patient acquires the virus from a staff member and has any kind of negative outcome.
So to all those newly unemployed staffers, I have one phrase you might find useful.. "Would you like Fries with that?"
The stupid don't deserve nice things. These people literally sided with a disease and I can't get past that.

They don't need to sue, if they don't like that they've been fired, they can find another job. The medical staff who refused to take the Covid vaccine knew the moment they entered into the medical field that vaccinations are required before dealing with patients to keep them and their patients safe.

@SW-User nobody counted on a pandemic in which would cause massive government corruption in which would cause people (who don’t sit in front of the Tv all day 🤧) to question the Legitimacy of thus vaccine

If people who work in a hospital don't trust the vaccine, doesn't that tell you something?
Elessar · 26-30, M
@hunkalove Yeah indeed, it evidences that being a f*cking nurse doesn't give you any knowledge about vaccine R&D, similarly to how being a car mechanic doesn't give you the knowledge required to design engines.

@hunkalove Some nurses are maga-sheep?

Your beloved Trump trusted them so much he had the entire White House scramble so that he could have early vaccination in secret.

@Graylight Trump remains the perfect example of Rich persons privilige. Nepotism, name dropping, and Bratty entitled kids with no respect. Hes living the American rich dream and the Yokels love him for it.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Those idiots will find themselves blackballed. Fired over the Covid vaccine? "We'll call you (when hell freezes over)."
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Crazywaterspring Pretty soon it will be the case that Covid shots are a condition of employment anywhere in Health care
Graylight · 51-55, F
That's fine. They'll lose.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Graylight They did. The Judge threw it out.
Not a surprise. The won't be able to work if they didn't have their typhoid, hep b and tb jabs.
100 out of the thousands that work there is not a large number

@InOtterWords I agree. I read this as a political protest that is completely inappropriate in their profession. Well now they are "free" to find another profession.

@DeluxedEdition I absolutely agree with you. My wife was a senior nurse specialising in aged care and managed teams of dedicated people for organisations where patient/resident care was the highest priority. And not ONE of them would allow an unvaccinated staff member near the people they cared for. That is alreadt established policy here, backed by the government.

@LandOfOz Yep. I agree. Our Govt is a joke. They just look good when compared the America and Britain.😷
Houston Methodist Hospital fired the vaccine refuseniks and were backstopped by a judge. This sets a great precedent.

Houston Methodist Hospital is associated with a religion; today's SCOTUS will thus give them a religious exemption to do whatever they please.
