yes, some. If you can avoid smoking while you are in the same room as him, that would remove most of the peril

@sumita123: well, it does up his chances of cancer from second-hand smoke, a bit, although nothing like as high as the chances for any actual smoker.

@sumita123: when you smoke in a room, part of the carcinogens go into your lungs, part go into the atmosphere where they can get breathed in by others in the room. So he will take in -some- carcinogens, but you'll take most of them in; his chance of getting cancer goes up a bit, yours goes up a lot more.
