Does dying from Covid19 preclude organ harvest for donation?

Makes you look at the pandemic being a cure for cancer, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, and all manner of "missing statistics" in a new light if not because, you have to ask, who profits most?

There are much better ways to harvest organs that stealing them from elderly, disease-ridden individuals.

Organs from dead Covid-19 patients cannot be donated.

I am not sure what you mean by the pandemic being a cure for cancer, heart disease, etc. People are still dying from these diseases. If they happen to be living with these conditions, and contract Covid, chances are it's easier for Covid to kill them.

@Northwest It was a flippant reaction to how those statistics are never placed in the immediate public arena.

@Ankou The stats are the same, but it's how they're presented.

Patient has heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and is in their 70s. Patients also gets Covid 19. Patient dies.

Should patient be listed as a Covid-19 death? To me the answer is clear: yea. Many people live for years, with these conditions. May even be able to improve if they modify their lifestyle.

Some cities/counties/states present it as a Covid death. Some don't.

In the UK they take your organs anyway unless you opt out.

Sure, cuz that's what everyone wants. The enlarged, diseased organs of the oldest and most unhealthy populations. 🙄
I'd expect so. in fact, I expect transplants and donation events are down significantly.
