If God made the entire world in 6 days and rested on the 7th, Don't tell me you cant get things done in 6 and just rest one day a week! You need it!

@NerdyPotato We can rest a lot but God tells us we will be poor if we rest too much.

@Carazaa that's true, but just a little extra for some fun beyond rent, insurance and basic food would be nice. Also not having to choose between food or a new appliance if my computer or washer breaks down would save a lot of stress.

@Carazaa you'll need to have anything left after the bills and food to save though. You can't put aside what you don't have.

@NerdyPotato If you tithe 10% to a Biblical church where Jesus, Gods slaughtered lamb is taught, and follow him you will not be poor any more! I promise!

@Carazaa will God send me money then? Because I can't work for it thanks to the disease he gave me at birth.

@NerdyPotato I was blessed when I asked God what I could do when I had no money and I decided to abide by this promise. I am no longer poor as my 5th post shows.

Robbing God

@Carazaa that's great, but a 2000 year old book isn't going to pay my bills.

@NerdyPotato So you don't trust him. OK then you will continue to be poor. I had no money and had nothing to lose so I trusted him and I want to be blessed in every way. And I am. I made less than $400 a month now about $10,000 a month.

@Carazaa I just did. It sounds like someone you helped out left you a small heritage. Sadly I'm not in a position to help people out like that, nor do I see this as a divine miracle. Unless you consider human kindness a miracle. Though it does become much rarer lately, I wouldn't call it a miracle yet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@NerdyPotato God uses people, bosses, and jobs to pour down blessings. I have had doors opened by people, but it was God all along who helped me.

@Carazaa so he took the life of a lady to pass her heritage to you? If that's what it takes to become rich, I'll pass.

@NerdyPotato I choose to obey God! I trust Him, I love Jesus. He has been so good to me! He is my Lord!

@Carazaa that's great. I wish I could say the same, but I'm glad he is at least good to some people.

@NerdyPotato He is good to All who trust in him with their lives. But people love their money, and their lives too much to follow Jesus. He says "follow me!"

@Silverwings Well, I've tried to increase my tithing each year. I am just trying to witness that God can provide. I am hopeless in my own strength, I mess up and is disorganized and cant get it together but God opens doors and I am so amazed. I make a lot of mistakes but the barn is full. Praise God!

@Silverwings Hopefully! I listened to a pastor who said to his congregation this story that he challenged people to give a million dollars a year. Well this guy got mad and went up to the pastor and said how in the world can I give a million when I make less than $50,000 huh? The pastor said give more each year and you will be blessed more and more. So that's what he did. He was witnessing to the congregation and the radio that now he gives 1 million a year. Some Christians give 90% of their income. I believe that it is important for the Gospel to go out now more than ever because we are so close to Jesus coming back. And so I want to trust God that Im not going to go broke.
