Four people in Oregon who received both doses of vaccine test positive for coronavirus

Could it be like other shots...where it makes you get the illness but to a small degree?

These vaccines don't give you part of the active virus, they don't work in that way. You can still get covid after getting a vaccine as none of the vaccines are 100% effective. Furthermore, efficacy improves after some weeks, so you won't reach the full 90%+ straight away. It takes time.

@SW-User Herd immunity. Thanks

@MrBrownstone Ok 🤔
@SW-User i don't know how it works...i just know this whole thing is a cluster f*** and none of it should have happened and the vaccine should have been created much sooner and i believe that it is all about money...and i definitely don't think any one should be getting sick after two vaccines. Do they have good people working on this? Cause it seems like alot of them died and we might be dealing with second tier medical people...

@LILY61 There is no vaccine that will deliver 100% immunity to covid-19, regardless of how many shots you get. There is a good chance of reducing severe illness in healthy people to virtually zero. The vaccines may already deliver that, once they are in your system long enough to work.

The vaccines have been created in record time. It would usually take more like 20 years rather than the one year that it's taken.
@SW-User so in your opinion...we are screwed

@LILY61 No, I think that we're pretty near the beginning of this journey and we'll get better at it. The way out will be a combination of vaccines, medications and treatments that will prevent severe covid in all but rare cases. My personal opinion is that it will be the latter half of the decade, if not the end of the decade, before life feels like it used to.
@SW-User i seriously think that life will never get back to my idea of normal. but atleast people will stop shaking my hand...i hate that! it was designed to show someone you don't have a weapon...i don't own weapons...
@SW-User I mean yeah it probably takes some days. Meanwhile the thing is usually mild and the usual vitamin d and c and zinc lozenges and juicing and more rest, will clear up most cases....its still true.
@LILY61 I never knew that shaking hands was a sign of disarmament. That's so interesting!
