I have worked with it since the beginning of the pandemic. It’s been great honestly from a healthcare workers prospective. You get unlimited hours, and bonuses for working with covid. and I actually just recovered from it technically on the 6th. My whole family has basically had it and recovered. I had a stuffy nose and a dull headache.

@DeluxedEdition true...I think people are kissing themselves thinking it's just a flu

@ozgirl512 It's really like they say, a type of black death scourge, which also came from China! Historically these things come every few centuries to reduce the population. If there was a global reproduction control of some kind, Mother Nature might refrain from seeking to kill us off!

@Zguitart true...I think evolution works on a periodic culling of the herd

Still crap. In the U.S. I’ve lost count on deaths, 450,000 the last time I saw data on it. 27 million cases. Several family members caught it, one’s still hanging on.

I don't go around scare mongering however the new "Bristol Variant" isn't affected by any of the vaccines, Bristol is only sixety miles from where I live across the Bristol channel so it's not good news I bring here today.

I lost an old friend and ex colleague who was ninety six years old and living in a Care Home quite recently he wasn't in the best of health and didn't survive Covid - 19.
Zguitart · 22-25, F
@senghenydd Surely, each time the virus hits someone, when they pass it on its a variant. Like the common cold, and the flu, both respiratory illnesses
senghenydd · M
@Zguitart I know of three varients (1) The South African (2) The Kent and (3) The Bristol wasn't there a Brazilian one as well anyway as I said earlier this Bristol variant is far more difficult to control early reports aren't very good.

We've been lucky and locked down early... Total deaths under 1000

@ozgirl512 most of those deaths are in the hands of our dopey C#~t premier who bunked hotel quarantine and yet here he goes again.

Mom had it but we didn't catch it or we were asymptomatic. Luckily, she didn't had serious symptoms but it took longer to recover.

I heard my country is the worst in the world right now. British variant dominates, the first man with confirmed South African variant died recently. Around 100 deaths per day. The government forces people to get tested every week what probably causes this rapid spreading. Hospitals are overloaded in several cities and patients have to be redirected to hospitals in other districts.

>700k cases, >14k deaths

I've had it and my uncle died two weeks ago after there was an outbreak at his palliative care unit.
KuroNeko · 41-45, F
Over 100,000 here in the uk. I've not lost anyone I know to it yet though 🤞
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
In my county, we've had 17,081 total cases and 73 deaths. I've only known one person who may or may not have had COVID-19; whatever it was, he recovered quickly.

Here in the US, we finally have an adult in the WH who cares and believes in science. The response to the pandemic is finally gaining momentum. TG!

22,860 deaths here
Unfortunately, it isn't getting any better with the amount of deaths ...hopefully with the vaccine it will lessen

None of my family, friends or acquaintances have contracted it. I know of no one ill despite USA being a stone throw away.

My son had it but fortunately mild symptoms
Several people here at my work have had it.
