What does it mean when your tongue feels like sandpaper and it burns?

I have seen 3 doctors and 2 dentists and they shrug. None of them has a clue. They tell me not to worry. I've had it for about 5 months. I got it at the same time I got an ear infection and had a tooth extraction. The ear infection got cleared up with an antibiotic and the extraction has healed OK.

Sorry, I couldn't be much help :/ Maybe just keep an eye out for any other symptoms and keep a note of any changes you notice for future reference. I do hope your issue clears up eventually, though.
