What does it mean when your tongue feels like sandpaper and it burns?

I have seen 3 doctors and 2 dentists and they shrug. None of them has a clue. They tell me not to worry. I've had it for about 5 months. I got it at the same time I got an ear infection and had a tooth extraction. The ear infection got cleared up with an antibiotic and the extraction has healed OK.

Could it be either Candida or maybe a B-vitamin deficiency?

I thought about that so I am now taking brewer's yeast pills and eating daily yogurt or kefir.

@greenmountaingal: I didn't know brewer's yeast was anti-candida. Thought it was best to stay away from all yeast products when you have that.

@cherokeepatti: brewer's yeast is not live yeast; it's a byproduct of brewing that is rich in B vitamins. I am eating yogurt and drinking kefir for the positive bacteria to fight possible candida.
